British rower and Olympic gold medalist Will Satch MBE who led Great Britain to Olympic glory at Rio 2016 and also holds three world champion titles in the men’s eight, officially opened the Powerhouse Fitness store on Willesden lane, North London  on Wednesday 29 March 2017.

Will Satch now training for a second Olympic Gold at Tokyo 2020 chatted with and watched the student rowing teams from Cardinal Vaughan Memorial secondary school and Roehampton university attempt to beat his 250m time! Whilst none of the rowing team members managed to beat his time, one student from Roehampton University, Sam Stephenson came close and was awarded a Powerhouse Fitness voucher and both the school and university will receive rowing machines courtesy of Powerhouse Fitness.

All the students competed on the bespoke British Rowing WaterRower, which Will was also there to promote. The Handcrafted WaterRower made from sustainably sourced Appalachian White Oak and inscribed with the British Rowing logo, it is in limited supply and available from Powerhouse Fitness. The WaterRower shot to fame when it was featured in the hit US TV show House of Cards.  The Students enjoyed the day, which was both fun and inspirational for them as they are potentially our future team GB rowers!
