Today Apple revealed a few of their headline artists, who will be playing at the re-branded iTunes Festival in London, this 22nd-28th September at Camden’s Roundhouse. The name change is clearly a move to realign the festival with Apples recently launched music streaming service, as well as using it as a medium to promote the service. However, this year along with the rebranding, Apple have chosen to produce a 10 night run, instead of its usual month-long affair. While this is likely to put enormous pressure on its random free ticket allocations, everyone will still be able to watch both the performances live as well as stream them on-demand through Beats 1.
So far only four of the headline acts have been announced, which include: One Direction (who will be playing on 22nd September), Disclosure (who will be playing on 25th September), award-winning producer- artist Pharrell Williams (26th September) and Florence and the Machine (September 28th), leaving six more plus the supporting artists to be announced.
