I wouldn’t call myself a makeup fanatic, far from it but when I decide to put a little effort in, I always opt for eye shadow. I would be the first to admit that I generally tend to play it safe and go for a mixture of brown’s beige’s and gold’s. However, after receiving a number of eyeshadow’s from the make up brand COLLECTION to review, it provided me with the opportunity to be bold and experiment.

I received three separate eye shadow palettes and a primer to use on my lids before application. Inside each palette you receive 6 highly pigmented shades. They are rich and spread evenly along the eye lids. I have used many eye shadows that don’t spread evenly however this one made for slick application and I didn’t need to go too heavy to get the desired look. Many eye shadows I have used have clumped and within the creases of my eye have began to rub off after a number of hours. However, COLLECTION’s eye shadows have a super smooth velvety texture that makes for exceptionally easy blending.

I received Nude Rose which I feel is perfect for day time wear, it contains a mix of light pinks, peaches, browns and beiges. I also received the Smokey Purple Palette which is perfect for dramatic looks. It contains dark purple, grey and blue.

I also received the Smokey Grey Palettes which is perfect for creating a dramatic eye and could easily be blended on top of the nude shades for a quick transition from day to night.
