#InspireLSReviews| Dr Zhivago

I had heard a great deal about the 5 X Academy award winning Dr Zhivago, however I have never had the opportunity to watch it. So, you can imagine my excitement when I was invited to watch an exclusive press screening of the romantic classic at the reputable BFI Southbank.

In celebration of the film’s 50th anniversary and as part of the BFI’s 2015 blockbuster LOVE: FILMS TO FALL IN LOVE WITH…FILMS TO BREAK YOUR HEART season; in partnership with Plusnet, the eighth most successful cinema release of all time will be back on the big screen in cinema’s across the UK, in a beautiful 4k restoration from 27th November 2015. Dr Zhivago will be showing on over 90+ screens UK-wide.

#MovieMatters| Gone Too Far

I have a major appreciation of British film because as a young Londoner I recognise the increasing difficulty for UK movie makers to get ‘bums on seat’ to support and head down to their local cinema. If it isn’t the ever increasing cinema prices that scare people away; then it is the misconception that British made films cannot stand side by side with their ‘Hollywood counterparts’ in terms of quality, the ability to offer strong and thought  provoking or hugely entertaining storylines, casting big stars in lead roles or working with big budgets.

#InspireLSReviews|Afternoon Tea at Lancaster London Hotel

It’s not often that I take up the opportunity just to sit and eat scrumptious cakes and sip on white wine, particularly in the middle of the afternoon. However, having said that I had had a busy few weeks and wanted the opportunity to let my hair down and just relax and simply do nothing.  Having been invited to have afternoon tea at Lancaster London; a 4 star hotel based in the heart of Central London I couldn’t have been more thankful as the timing was perfect.

Reviews| Memphis The Musical

I wouldn’t say that I am quite the musical fan having never really acquired a taste for hearing singing over and over again. I never quite understood the fascination people had for ‘The Sound of Music’ and most definitely didn’t care of ‘Oliver’ wanting more food! Yet, more recently; my interest has increased. I’m not totally sure whether this is down to the fact that I now frequent the theatre much more than I used to but I have developed quite an addiction to Westend musicals.

Reviews| The Scottsboro Boys

I recently got the opportunity to attend the Garrick Theatre situated in Central London to witness a spectacle; the opening night of award winning production, The Scottsboro Boys.

It’s not often that you watch a theatrical performance that arouses such immense reaction. However, on watching the opening press night performance of the award winning production/musical The Scottsboro Boys, there wasn’t a person who wasn’t moved in some way.

#FoodAndDrink| Hunter 486 @ The Arch London

An exquisite hideaway situated in the heart of the metropolis we know as London Town, it’s hard to believe that ‘The Arch London’ boutique style Hotel could possibly offer you a complete sense of calm, yet on entering this hotel; I felt relaxed and taken away from the hectic day to day offerings of London life.

The Arch London is the perfect setting for a city break and consists of all the key factors needed to ensure you feel apart and away from the city. The location was perfect for those who are accustomed with travelling on the cities busy underground service. From Elephant and Castle, I reached the location in less than 25 minutes. Furthermore, because of its convenient location, key London landmark streets including Marble Arch, Hyde Park and Oxford Street are all only a stone throw away from the Arch, further adding to it being the perfect location to escape to.

#FoodandDrink|SASS IT UP With Sassy Drinks

I’m constantly on the move and always engaged in some form of activity, so it comes as no surprise that I can become quite thirsty from time to time. When I was training for my Nike 10K run, I went on the prowl online for a fruit based drink that would be give me an energy boost. As much as I am more than aware that when it comes to quenching your thirst; it is best to reach for a bottle of water. I hate having a bitter mouth when I run (hides face) and often choose to reach for a Lucozade (shamed faced!)
