I’ve recently delved back into my 90’s RnB music collection and pulled out classics from artists such as Aaliyah, Ashanti and Brandy to name but a few. There’s just something about music from that era that leaves you with that sense of nostalgia. However, I was able to put those tracks away for a time over the weekend after being sent the beautiful track ‘Mine’ by UK based songstress Cheryll Music.
It is evident after hearing only a few seconds of this track that Cheryll is heavily influenced by artists like the above. ‘Mine’ is the perfect RnB track and encompasses both Cheryll’s songwriting skills and beautiful vocal range.
Nothing excites me more than new artists starting our on their musical journey. If any of Cheryl’s upcoming tracks after this one is anything to go by; I’m quite confident we’ll be hearing much much more from this young and vibrant talent.
‘Mine’ has been received remarkably well by her fans and music listeners and is available on all digital platforms. Even more vitally, it is In-spire LS Magazine’s track of the week
