#InspirationalInterviews|ONE FC International Mixed Martial Arts Star Ann Osman

Ann Osman (2-1) holds the distinct honour of being the first-ever Malaysian-born Muslim female professional Mixed Martial Arts athlete to compete at the apex level of the rapidly growing sport in Asia. The ever-focused and positive 28-year-old has swiftly knocked out a series of unsavoury stereotypes as many hard-hitting opponents since her crowning professional debut in 2013; Osman is currently signed to a lucrative contract with successful Singapore-based promotion ONE Fighting Championship (ONE FC). Osman initially entered Mixed Martial Arts classes in Muay Thai purely for mere personal fitness, and later became hooked courtesy to the daily practitionary dedication and disciplinary ethics involved; Osman also owns – and manages – a renowned travel agency company in Sabah, Malaysia.

#BookKorner| Sergio Agüero – ‘Born To Rise’

Argentina and Manchester City superstar, Sergio Aguero, releases brand new autobiographical novel entitled ‘Born To Rise’. The 26-year-old two-time English Premier League Champion and FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014 Finals runner up firmly illustrates the inspirational narrative in ‘Born To Rise’ how he grew up in poverty in Bueno Aires, Argentina, before becoming a globally recognized, multi-millionaire professional athlete and technically natural goalscorer in the world’s most famous soccer league – English Premier League; Aguero has 7.5 million subscribers on Twitter, and 8.6 million fans on Facebook.

#MovieMatters: Viola Davis To Star In DC Blockbuster Movie ‘Suicide Squad’

Forthcoming DC motion picture ‘Suicide Squad‘ installed another marquee Hollywood actor to the already glittering ensemble cast, as the gifted Viola Davis (‘Get On Up’) became the latest star to be officially named to appear in the upcoming motion picture. ‘Suicide Squad‘ is directed by David Ayer (‘Sabotage’) and co-stars Tom Hardy (‘The Dark Knight Rises’), Margot Robbie (‘The Wolf of Wall Street’), Will Smith (‘Winter’s Tale’) and Jai Courtney (‘Terminator Genisys’).

Viola Davis will portray the jaded Amanda Waller, an unmercifully pragmatic government representative legally charged in part to administrating a titular core of un-repenting super-villains. The stellar 49-year-old actress reportedly ousted both Oprah Winfrey (‘The Butler’) and Octavia Spencer (‘Get on Up’) to triumphantly claim the major role in ‘Suicide Squad’; the Amanda Waller character was previously seen in Martin Campbell-directed ‘Green Lantern‘, played by the irrepressible, Angela Bassett (‘This Means War’).

#Watch| ‘Tribute To The King’ (A Film By Serge Mirindi & Ragz-CV)

I have a strong respect for the award winning rapper Ragz-CV. Having featured him first and foremost as a musician in a ‘Superman’ feature on In-spire LS. I was captivated by his drive, his determination to succeed and his dedication and love towards his Grandmother and His Grandfather; musician Robbie ‘King’ Robinson.

#FashionInspired| AAKS Fashion Designer Launches Ethically-Made Luxury Accessories

I am always on the look out for fashion accessory bags and purses that will set me head and shoulders above the rest and has nothing to do with the current trends that have swamped the fashion industry of late.

I also have a real appreciation for accessories that are hand-made and ethical. It is no surprise then that I have a new fixation on the beautiful designs of AAKS.  Created by Ghanaian fashion designer Akosua Afriyie-Kumi; these extravagant and ethically made bags and purses have been created as a direct response to those in the world who do not recognise that both luxury and quality can grow from traditional designs.

The bags and purses are visually stunning and come in a number of sizes, designs and colours which are all vibrant and loud; perfect for those who dress and carry accessories to express their moods and personalities.

Bag 3

What I also appreciate about the intricate and stunning designs is that each item is handmade. To add to their authenticity, each bag bears the finger print of the person who fashioned it; an exceptional and unique personal touch.

Bag 1

I absolutely love the bags; the colours just POP! Without a doubt I definitely need to have one added to my already; huge and above necessary bag collection. However, it would be near impossible to walk away without grabbing one for myself!

AAKS  has already been showcased internationally featuring in shows in both Milan and London. With each design, Akosua is working to ensure that her creations offer a different and more positive perspective of Africa as a whole.
